Gesdro
Privacy Policy
Effective: August 29, 2026 / Last updated: September 21, 2026
Gesdro (the "App") is a gesture drawing practice app developed and provided by esaka (an individual developer, the "Developer"). This policy explains how the App handles your information.
1. The Developer does not receive personal information
The App has no account or sign-in. The Developer does not operate any server, and does not receive names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information through the App.
The App does, however, include Google's advertising SDK in order to show ads, and Google collects information for advertising (section 3). In-app purchases are processed by Apple (section 6). These are the only two situations in which the App sends information off your device.
2. Your drawings and practice records stay on your device
Your sketches, practice records (dates, counts, streaks), and settings are stored only on your device. They are never sent to the Developer or to any third party. Nobody but you can access them.
When you export (share) a sketch, the App uses the standard iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes; the App never sends anything by itself.
Deleting the App also deletes this data.
3. Advertising and the information collected for it
The App shows ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC and its affiliates, "Google"). There are two kinds of ad:
- Long ad (rewarded ad, optional): a video ad that you choose to watch yourself. If you watch it to the end, then for the rest of that day (until the date changes on your device) the short ad before practice is no longer shown
- Short ad (interstitial ad): a full-screen ad shown once at the start of each practice session, if you have not watched a long ad to the end that day. However many poses you draw in one session, it is shown only that one time at the start
Ads never interrupt a session and are never shown on the results screen. If you buy the one-time "Remove ads" purchase, neither kind of ad is shown.
For ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement, Google and its advertising partners may collect and use the following. This information is collected directly by Google's SDK; the Developer does not receive it and does not identify you with it.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking (see section 5)
- IP address (used to estimate your general region), device type, OS version, and similar device information
- Records of ad impressions and interactions
- Diagnostic information about how the ad SDK is running
Google's policies apply to this use. See Google's Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and Google's privacy information for its business products. Google may process this information outside your country of residence, for example in the United States.
The App limits ads to the general-audience content rating, so that adult or extreme advertising is unlikely to be served.
Once you own "Remove ads", the App does not start any advertising process (checking consent or loading ads). Google's SDK may still communicate with Google until the purchase has been confirmed on the device, for example right after a reinstall.
4. Consent for advertising (users in the UK and other regions where consent is required)
The App is not currently offered on the App Store in European Union member states.
If you are in the United Kingdom or another region where the law requires consent for advertising, the App shows a consent form at launch, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform ("UMP"). Whether the form applies to you is determined by Google's platform, based on factors such as the region you are in. The form lets you choose whether to consent to storing and accessing information on your device for advertising, and to personalized ads.
The App requests ads only in accordance with your consent status, and does not load or show any ad until that status has been established. If you do not consent, you may see non-personalized or limited ads, or no ads at all. Every practice feature and every angle keeps working without consent. (While ads cannot be shown, you cannot watch a long ad to stop the short ads.)
Changing or withdrawing consent: you can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the App under Settings › Change ad settings. This item appears only in regions where consent is required. (It is hidden once you have bought "Remove ads", because no ads are shown.)
5. App Tracking Transparency (all regions)
Just before showing an ad, the App may ask for permission to track in order to personalize ads. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for advertising only if you allow it.
If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the App keeps working exactly the same. You will simply see ads that are not based on your interests. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security › Tracking.
6. In-app purchase
The App offers one non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase, "Remove ads". Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. The Developer never receives your name, card number, or any other payment information.
To check whether you own the purchase, the App reads the purchase information that Apple provides on your device (product identifier, purchase date, and whether it was refunded or revoked) and keeps a local note of whether you own it. This information is not sent to the Developer. For how Apple handles your information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
7. Summary of third parties
- Google (AdMob / UMP) — purposes: ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, and collecting and recording your advertising consent. Information: as described in section 3. Google Privacy Policy
- Apple (App Store) — purposes: processing the in-app purchase, restoring purchases, and refunds. Apple Privacy Policy
The App sends information to no one else. The Developer does not sell your information.
8. Information that is never collected
- Contact details such as name, email address, or phone number
- Precise location
- Contacts, calendars, your photo library, or health data
- The contents of your sketches
The App has no feature for loading your photos or image files. It never reads the contents of your photo library or the Files app. When you share a sketch and choose “Save Image” in the iOS share sheet, that sketch is added to your photo library. This happens only when you choose it, and the App never sees what is already in your library.
9. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and the Developer does not knowingly collect information from them. If the law of the country or region where you live sets a higher age for using online services or for consenting to the handling of personal data, and you are below that age, please use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. About the included pose references
The pose images bundled with the App are CG (rendered 3D models) made by the Developer using assets (body meshes, clothes, hair, and the like) published by the MakeHuman community under CC0 (CC0 1.0 Universal). The App does not include photographs of real people. The source and license of the underlying assets are credited in the App under Gallery › Credits. For the conditions that apply to the bundled images, including the limits on redistribution, see section 2 of the Terms of Use.
11. Data retention
- Data on your device (sketches, practice records, settings, the local note of your purchase, the date you last watched a long ad, and your advertising consent record): kept until you delete it or delete the App. None of it is stored by the Developer
- Information collected by Google for advertising: kept for the periods set out in Google's policies
- Purchase records: kept by Apple, linked to your Apple Account, for the periods set out in Apple's policies
12. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the App removes everything it has stored, including your sketches and practice records.
Because your sketches and practice records exist only on your device, this deletes them completely. There is no copy on the Developer's side to request deletion of.
13. Your rights (UK and similar regions)
The App is not currently offered in EU member states (section 4). If you live in the United Kingdom or another region where a data protection law such as the UK GDPR applies, that law gives you the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
In regions where consent is required, the collection of information for advertising in the App is based on your consent (section 4).
- The Developer: the Developer holds no personal data about users of the App (sections 1 and 2). The only exception is the email address and message you send if you contact support, which are kept to reply to and handle your request. To ask for access to or deletion of that correspondence, write to the address below
- Information collected by Google: you can withdraw consent in the App under Settings › Change ad settings. To exercise your rights over information held by Google, please use the methods described in Google's Privacy Policy. If you get stuck, write to the address below and the Developer will help as far as possible
14. Changes to this policy
If the handling of information changes — for example when a new feature is added — this policy will be revised. Revisions are posted on this page with the date, and significant changes are also announced in the App.
- September 21, 2026: bundled references changed to CG made by the Developer. Added the two kinds of ad (long and short), advertising consent (UMP), the "Remove ads" in-app purchase, where the App is offered and the rights of users in the UK and similar regions, and data retention
- August 29, 2026: first published
